Howard Podeswa is an artist who lives and works in Toronto, Canada. Over the past 27 years he has exhibited his work in Canada, the U.S., Germany and South Africa. Podeswa’s paintings are held in numerous private and public collections. His work often begins with personal history as a catalyst for meditations on art historical legacy, physics, theories of perception and the state of the world. His latest series, A Brief History, was the subject of an article by Dan Adler in Border Crossings (Painting, August, 2016). The series, last exhibited at the Koffler Center, will be remounted at the Kelowna Art Gallery in the fall of 2017.

Howard Podeswa’s work was included in the 1993 group exhibition The Obscured Horizon: Contemporary Urban Landscape Paintings at the AGM, Podeswa’s first museum exhibition!
