Art Gallery of Mississauga — Board of Directors
The Art Gallery of Mississauga (AGM) is seeking engaged community leaders to join our Board of Directors and help shape the future of one of Mississauga’s leading public arts institutions.
The AGM is a publicly funded, charitable, not-for-profit contemporary art gallery offering free admission, exhibitions, educational programs, and community-engaged experiences. Our mandate is to bring art to the community and the community to art.
We are looking for individuals who believe art, culture and creative spaces are essential to a thriving community — and who are ready to bring their expertise, networks and ideas to help the AGM grow its public impact across Mississauga and Peel.
We are particularly seeking expertise in:
• Finance / Audit / Accounting
• Human Resources / DEI
• Board Secretary/ Governance
• Artistic Practice / Artists / Collections
• Fundraising, sponsorship & community engagement
What does it mean to serve on the AGM Board?
Board members provide thoughtful governance and strategic oversight, champion the AGM in the community, support fundraising and sponsorship, participate in committees and events, and help advance the Gallery’s mandate.
We welcome candidates who reflect the diversity, experiences and perspectives of Mississauga and the communities we serve.
