About the Workshop
This immersive experience invites duos of all kinds—whether romantic partners, siblings, best friends, or parent and child (age 8+ to adult)—to explore their shared bond through the lens of duality in creativity. Honouring the unique essence of each participant while uncovering the subtle threads that unite them, the workshop opens space for connection, play, and reflection.
Guided by the chakra system, participants will engage in mindful movement, artistic creation, and heart-opening dialogue to express both individuality and togetherness through colour, form, and feeling. Inspired by the Art Gallery of Mississauga’s current exhibition The Search for the Black Madonna and Green Tara, the workshop begins with a gallery walk and an introduction to the seven chakras, setting shared intentions. Duos will then connect through a sound bowl meditation, create chakra-inspired dual canvas art, and finish with guided journaling and conversation to deepen their bond.
The workshop aims to nurture meaningful relationships, enhance emotional awareness, and encourage open communication. Through creative, chakra-inspired art-making, participants celebrate individuality, explore the healing energy within their connection, and create lasting shared memories.
