About the Workshop
Join Mississauga-based Sri Lankan Canadian artist Whyishnave Suthagar for an artist talk, exhibition tour, and participatory letter-writing workshop as part of her exhibition நினைவு | Ninaivu—What We Remember, What We Release at the Art Gallery of Mississauga. Presented alongside Shaheer Zazai’s concurrent exhibition, these works explore cultural memory, migration, and the ways art can create space for reflection and healing.
The event begins with a short talk and guided discussion, followed by a reflective writing workshop where participants are invited to share personal stories of migration, belonging, and intergenerational connection. All materials are provided, and no writing experience is necessary.
