Opportunities for Artists

Exhibition Proposals

The AGM accepts proposals from artists working in all media, artist collectives, curators and arts and culture institutions. Before submitting a proposal, we encourage you to become familiar with our programming priorities by visiting our current exhibition and reviewing past exhibitions online.

Email your proposal to [email protected] .

Please send all proposals to this email address.

Only digital submissions are accepted. Proposals are reviewed on an ongoing basis by the curatorial staff and we will confirm receipt of your proposal. If we see a possible fit for your work/project and wish to book a meeting for further discussion, you will receive a response via email. Please do not send follow up requests for feedback.

Please note exhibitions are booked at least 2 years in advance.

Additionally, the AGM organizes an annual Juried Show of Visual Arts, open to all practicing Ontario artists. If you are looking for more immediate exhibition opportunities, we encourage you to apply. You can sign up for our e-newsletter at the end of this webpage to receive our call for submissions and other gallery updates.

Workshop & Project Proposals

The Art Gallery of Mississauga (AGM) welcomes active interest from individuals with broad cross-cultural perspectives and seeks opportunities to engage newcomers to Canada, Indigenous folks, and visible minority communities to create collaborations through art and culture.

We encourage submissions from diverse backgrounds, with a particular emphasis on BIPOC artists and facilitators, and those residing in Mississauga. However, we also welcome proposals from artists and facilitators outside these groups who are passionate about community engagement through art and culture.

If you are interested in collaborating, please complete our submission form below by CLICKING HERE.

Your submission will be reviewed by our Programs & Education Manager, Sabrina Boyer ([email protected]), who will follow up regarding next steps.
