Julia Chatterji is a Management Consultant by day, entrepreneur, arts advocate by soul and a long time Mississauga Resident who believes that the arts are part of an essential infrastructure for healing, connection, and a stable society. As the founder of The Studio Paint Bar, she introduced a unique concept that blended an art studio with a wine bar to create an inviting third space for the community. Her goal was simple: to make the arts accessible to everyone. Under her leadership, The Studio became a vibrant creative hub, liaising between local artists and the community by offering artist-led experiences that emphasized storytelling, hospitality, and respect for local talent. The space earned numerous accolades, including multiple People’s Choice Awards and the Mississauga Board of Trade’s Small Business of the Year in 2022.

With over 20+ years of experience leading strategic initiatives in finance and healthcare at institutions such as RBC, CIBC, Goldman Sachs, and HSBC and hospitals, Julia brings a strong background in project management, change management, digital innovation, and organizational transformation. Her ability to connect vision with execution has made her a trusted leader in both corporate and community settings.  Now, she is excited to contribute to the Art Gallery of Mississauga with her experience in strategy, governance, and genuine passion for the arts. She loves the AGM with all her heART because of its inclusive programming and beautiful curation and cannot wait to see it continue to grow and impact the city.
