Emergence: Mississauga Artists Rising, is pleased to present E.M.A.R. LAB, an exhibition and incubation space for emerging artists who reflect the diversity of Mississauga and come from communities that traditionally experience marginalization and barriers in accessing mainstream arts institutions and opportunities. This includes immigrant and refugee artists, 2SLGBTQ+ artists, racialized artists, young artists, and artists who have experienced poverty. Emergence artists offer important narratives to support an environment of exchange, development, and engagement. The Art Gallery of Mississauga is a dynamic and creative platform in support of diversity, inclusivity and learning. We are grateful to the RBC Foundation and the Emergence mentors, Fausta Facciponte, James Fowler and Keith Garebian, for their continued support and dedication to foster and champion a vibrant, dynamic arts community in the city of Mississauga.
Emergence: Mississauga Artists Rising is generously supported by the RBC Emerging Artists Project grant.
